The current requirements are: A minimum score of   CLB 7 for speaking, listening, reading and writing You can take either of these approved language assessments for testing English CELPIP: Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program you must take the CELPIP-General test IELTS: International English Language Testing System you must take the General Training option Your language test results are valid for 2 years and must be valid on the day you apply for permanent residency.

If you have a Canadian education, you must show proof of a certificate, degree, or diploma from a Secondary school or Post-secondary institute.

Completed Certificate, Degree, or Diploma  ECA (Educational Credential Assessment) for immigration purposes from a designated organization.

You must show proof that you are able to financially support you and your family while in Canada.
