The Agri-Food Pilot program helps to address the work needs of the Canadian agri-food sector. The agri-food pilot gives a pathway to permanent residence for experienced workers within specific industries and occupations. It will run until May 2023.

  • Have Canadian work experience with a minimum of 1 year of non-seasonal work, full time in the past 3 years (minimum 1560 hours)
  • Canadian work experience must be through the temporary foreign worker program.

The current requirements are:

  • a minimum language level of CLB 4 

You can take either of these approved language assessments for testing English

Your language test results are valid for 2 years and must be valid on the day you apply for permanent residency.

  • Canadian High School Diploma

or

  • An ECA (Educational Credential Assessment) from a designated organization. The ECA must be less than 5 years old on the date of application.

You must have enough funds to support yourself and your family in Canada. You must provide proof of funds that you have.
