Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot: Who can Apply
In order to apply the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot, candidates must meet two sets of measures. To start with, all applicants must meet the prerequisites set out by Canada's federal government immigration authorities. Second, applicants must meet the extra requirements set up by participating communities.
Federal Eligibility Requirements for the RNIP
Qualifying work experience or international studies
RNIP program is more beneficial for international students who complete their minimum level of education at an institution in one of the participating communities. Moreover, the candidates who have a minimum level of work experience are also eligible for this program.
Education and Work Experience Eligibility:
The continuous 12 month of work is considered as eligible work experience which should be equivalent to 1560 hours in single occupation in previous three years.
For international students to be considered eligible, applicants must have graduated in a minimum if two year full-time post-secondary educational credential or a master’s degree or higher-level at an institution in a participating community. The studies must have been completed within 18 months of applying for permanent residence. The student must have been residing in the community for at least 16 of the 24 last months of their study period
English Language Requirement:
NOC Skill Level 0 or A: Canadian Benchmark Level of Level 6 (CLB6)
NOC Skill Level B: CLB 5
NOC Skill Level C or D: CLB 4
Job Offer
Applicants must have a proposal of employment from a business situated in one of the participating communities.
