British Columbia PNP invites 488 immigration candidates in two draws

British Columbia (B.C.) invited a total of 488 immigration candidates through two draws held on August 31.

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (B.C. PNP) invited candidates from the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry B.C. (EEBC) streams in both draws.

The first draw issued 467 invitations to candidates from the Skilled Worker, International Graduate, and Entry Level and Semi-Skilled sub-categories of the SI and EEBC. See below for a breakdown of the minimum score’s candidates needed in order to receive an invitation.

SI – Skilled Worker: minimum provincial score of 90.

SI – International Graduate: minimum provincial score of 77.

SI – Entry Level and Semi-Skilled: minimum provincial score of 69.

EEBC – Skilled Worker: minimum provincial score of 86.

EEBC – International Graduate: minimum provincial score of 75.

A second draw invited 21 candidates whose occupations fall under National Occupation Classification (NOC) codes 0621 and 0631. In this draw, candidates were invited from the Skilled Worker and International Graduate sub-categories of the SI and EEBC. In order to receive an invitation, candidates needed a minimum provincial score of 106, regardless of the sub-category they were from.

So far in 2021, B.C. has issued more than 8,000 invitations to immigration candidates through various Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) streams.

Since February of this year, B.C. has been conducing two separate rounds of invitations for its PNP program each month. The first draw is always a general draw and the second draw targets retail and wholesale managers and restaurant and foodservice managers.

Candidates who received invitations in this draw, now have thirty (30) days to submit a complete application through the B.C. PNP online system, Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).
