Over 100,00 Invitations are issued so far in the 2020 Express Entry Draw

Canada passed 100,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in a scheduled year unexpectedly by giving 5,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for the third sequential Express Entry draw. 

The December 9 draw took the absolute ITAs for 2020 to 102,350, while the base Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 469 equaled the least of 2020.

In a year defaced by the Covid emergency, such a high number of ITAs is much more exceptional. 

It shows Canada's obligation to the skilled worker immigration, advanced in the national government's plan to control the monetary recuperation from COVID-19 by inviting in excess of 400,000 newcomers for every year from 2021. 

Canada has altogether obscured the past record for ITAs in a schedule year – the 89,800 gave in 2018.
