Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) invited 218 immigration candidates to apply on January 28, 2021. Manitoba has now issued 490 PNP invitations this year.

This is the second draw of the month for the MPNP, where skilled workers and international graduates were invited through three immigration streams: Skilled Workers in Manitoba, International Education Stream, and Skilled Workers Overseas. Out of the 218 LAAs issued, 13 went to Express Entry candidates.

The invitations, Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) along with their Express of Interest (EOI) score were as follows:

Skilled Workers in Manitoba – 178 LAAs with a score of at least 518.

International Education Stream – 23 LAAs, no EOI score requirement provided.

Skilled Workers Overseas – 17 LAAs with a score of at least 681.

The MPNP says they will refuse any Express Entry (EE) candidates who do not have a valid EE ID, job seeker validation code, and verifiable experience in an occupation on Manitoba’s In-demand Occupations list.

The Skilled Workers Overseas candidates that were considered in this draw were directly invited under a strategic recruitment initiative.

If a candidate scored at the minimum ranking or higher, but did not receive an LAA, it could be because of many things. The candidate’s third-party language test does not have a valid test number. Their language test is no longer valid. Or, the candidate was invited under a strategic recruitment initiative, but they did not have a valid invitation number.

MPNP encourages candidates in any of these scenarios should update their EOI profile with the correct information to be considered in the next draw.
