British Columbia invited 87 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence in a recent Tech Pilot draw held on February 23.

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (B.C. PNP) Tech Pilot draw issued invitations to candidates in the Express Entry B.C. and Skills Immigration categories.

Invited candidates in both categories were part of the Skilled Worker and International Graduate sub-categories. The minimum provincial score for all invited candidates was 75.

The minimum provincial score in this draw was five (5) points lower than the previous Tech Pilot draws in 2021.

Invited candidates have thirty (30) calendar days to apply for a provincial nomination. These Tech Pilot draws invite immigration candidates on a weekly basis.

The B.C. PNP Tech Pilot draw is an immigration pathway for in-demand technology workers and international students. The project was launched in 2017 and has been extended several times, most recently until June 2021.

To be considered for this program, candidates need to be registered in one of B.C.’s existing provincial immigration streams – ie. Skills Immigration, Express Entry B.C. As well, candidates must have a valid full-time job offer in one of the Tech Pilot’s 29 eligible occupations.

To apply for the Skills Immigration or Express Entry B.C., candidates must create a profile through the B.C. PNP’s online portal and register under its Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).

Applicants are evaluated and receive a score based on their level of education, work experience, and having a full-time employment offer in B.C.
