Manitoba issued 207 invites to immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination on February 12.

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) invited Skilled Workers and International Graduates through three (3) streams: Skilled Workers in Manitoba, International Education Stream, and Skilled Workers Overseas.

This was MPNP’s fourth draw of the year.

The Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) and the Expression of Interest (EOI) score requirements were:

Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 158 LAAs and minimum EOI score of 457;

International Education Stream: 28 LAAs and no EOI score requirement; and

Skilled Workers Overseas: 21 LAAs and a minimum EOI score of 698.

Only five (5) LAAs were given to Express Entry candidates.

To receive an invitation in the Skilled Workers in Manitoba category, candidates need to have a valid full-time job offer from an employer in Manitoba.

To receive an invitation in the International Education Stream, international graduates who complete education in Manitoba can receive an LAA if they show that they have skills that align with an in-demand job in the labour market.

To receive an invitation in the Skilled Workers Overseas category, candidates overseas need to demonstrate that they have connections to Manitoba through family. As well, candidates need to show that they have previous experience in Manitoba, or an invitation through one of Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives. Candidates do not need to be living in Manitoba for their application to be eligible.
