British Columbia (B.C.) invited 444 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination in two separate Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws on March 2.

Candidates who received invitations were from the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry B.C. (EEBC) streams of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (B.C. PNP). Invited candidates were from the Skilled Worker, International Graduate, and the Entry Level and Semi-Skilled sub-categories of SI and EEBC.

The first draw invited 418 candidates where candidates needed to meet the minimum scores ranging between 83 and 97 points. See below for a breakdown of the minimum scores and the corresponding categories.

SI – Skilled Worker: minimum score of 97.

SI – International Graduate: minimum score of 94.

SI – Entry Level and Semi-Skilled: minimum score of 83.

EEBC – Skilled Worker: minimum score of 97.

EEBC – International Graduate: minimum score of 94.

The second draw invited 26 candidates who are skilled in NOC 0621 – retail and wholesale trade managers and NOC 0631 – restaurant and food service managers. Candidates needed to meet the minimum score of at least 118.

Candidates in the second draw were part of the Skilled Worker and International Graduate SI and EEBC sub-categories.

British Columbia has issued 1,839 invitations in 2021 through 11 invitation rounds. The B.C. PNP aims to attract foreign workers who have skills and experience that are in high demand for the province and wish to become permanent residents of Canada.

The Skills Immigration and Express Entry B.C. are managed under B.C.’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).
