Ontario PNP holds new draw inviting 126 French Speaking candidates
Ontario PNP issued 126 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to Express Entry immigration candidates on March 3.
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) invited candidates in the Express Entry linked French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream.
Invited candidates needed Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores between 455 and 467.
To qualify for this draw, candidates needed to have submitted their federal Express Entry profiles between March 3, 2020 and March 3, 2021. As well, all candidates must have a minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of seven (7) in French and a six (6) in English in all categories to qualify.
As well, candidates will need a Canadian post-secondary degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD, or an Educational Credential Assessment report allowing foreign education to be an equivalent. Candidates must plan to reside in Ontario by proving documentation to demonstrate their dedication and ties to the province. Candidates must be living in Ontario at the time of applying. Lastly, candidates must prove they have sufficient funds to cover settlement costs in Ontario.
OINP’s French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream targets French speaking skilled workers with strong English language abilities wanting to establish themselves and settle in Ontario. To be considered in this stream, candidates must qualify for the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s (IRCC) federal Express Entry pool either through the Federal Skilled Worker Program or the Canadian Experience Class.
Candidates cannot directly apply for this stream. Individuals must receive a NOI from the OINP based on their Express Entry profile.
Qualified candidates will receive a NOI inviting them to apply for the OINP for nomination under the French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream. Then, candidates have forty-five (45) calendar days to apply to the OINP under this stream. If their application is approved, individuals can accept their nomination and use it to apply to the IRCC for permanent residence in Ontario.
