British Columbia (B.C.) invited 95 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence in a Tech Pilot draw on March 9.

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (B.C. PNP) Tech Pilot draw issued invitations to candidates under the Express Entry B.C. (EEBC) and Skills Immigration (SI) categories. Invited candidates were from the Skilled Worker and International Graduate sub-categories and needed a minimum provincial score of 80.

Selected candidates have thirty (30) calendar days to apply for the nomination.

B.C. has now held twelve (12) draws this year, bringing the total of invitations issued to 1,926.

The B.C. PNP Tech Pilot is a fast-track Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) for in-demand tech workers and international students.

Candidates interested in the program need to be registered in one (1) of B.C.’s existing provincial immigration streams and have a valid job offer for a position that will last at least twelve (12) months in one (1) of the Tech Pilot’s 29 eligible occupations.

To apply for the Express Entry B.C. or Skilled Immigration categories, candidates must first create a profile through the B.C. PNP’s online portal and register under its Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).

Applicants are then evaluated and issued a provincial score that determines whether they may be invited to apply. The score is based on factors such as level of education, work experience, and having a valid B.C. job offer.

B.C. PNP Tech Pilot draws are held weekly.
