British Columbia PNP invites 82 immigration candidates in recent tech pilot draw
British Columbia (B.C.) held a new Tech Pilot draw through its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) on May 18.
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (B.C. PNP) issued 82 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to Tech Pilot immigration candidates. Selected candidates were invited from the Express Entry B.C. (EEBC) and Skills Immigration (SI) categories.
Further, invited candidates were from the Skilled Worker and International Graduate sub-categories of the EEBC and SI categories. All candidates needed to meet the minimum provincial score of 80 in order to receive an invitation.
B.C. PNP has issued a total of 4,438 invitations through various PNP streams so far in 2021.
Invited candidates now have thirty (30) calendar days to apply for a provincial nomination.
The B.C. PNP Tech Pilot is a fast-track PNP for in-demand tech workers and international students. Candidates need to be registered in one of B.C.’s existing provincial immigration streams and have a valid job offer of at least twelve (12) months in one of the Tech Pilot’s twenty-nine (29) eligible occupations.
To apply, candidates must first create a profile through the B.C. PNP’s online portal and register under its Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).
Applicants are issued a score based on several factors such as level of education, years of related work experience, and having a valid B.C. job offer. Candidates are evaluated based on the score and that determines whether they may be invited to apply in a given invitation round. Tech Pilot draws are held weekly.
The pilot has been extended several times and is open until next month.
