Saskatchewan PNP invites 255 immigration candidates in recent draw
Saskatchewan issued 255 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to candidates on June 15.
Invitations were given to candidates who may be eligible for a nomination from the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), specifically from the International Skilled Worker category.
The SINP targeted Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand candidates in this draw. Of the 255 invitations, 103 ITAs were issued to candidates eligible for the SINP’s Express Entry sub-category. The remaining 152 ITAs were issued to candidates from the Occupations In-Demand sub-category.
Regardless of which stream the candidates were invited from, they needed to meet the minimum Expression of Interest (EOI) score of 82. In addition, candidates needed Educational Credential Assessments to show that their foreign education is comparable to the Canadian standard. Those invited were also required to have work experience in one of the 55 in-demand occupations.
The SINP invites candidates through the EOI system. Recently, Saskatchewan has issued, on average, over 250 invitations every two (2) weeks.
The Occupations In-Demand sub-category is open to immigration candidates who do not have an Express Entry profile. It is for highly skilled workers with experience in an in-demand occupation in Saskatchewan, and who do not yet have a job offer in the province.
The Express Entry sub-category is an enhanced Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) which means it is linked to the federal Express Entry system.
For both of these sub-categories, interested candidates must create an EOI profile for Saskatchewan.
