Ontario invited 583 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination on June 23.

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) invited candidates who had profiles in the Express Entry system with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores ranging 464 to 467.

Specifically, the OINP invited candidates who may be eligible for the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream (HCP). Furthermore, the OINP invited candidates if they had work experience in one of the 10 priority occupations below.

NOC 0122 – Banking, credit and other investment managers.

NOC 0124 – Advertising, marketing and public relations managers.

NOC 0125 – Other business services managers.

NOC 0601 – Corporate sales managers.

NOC 1111 – Financial auditors and accountants.

NOC 1112 – Financial and investment analysts.

NOC 1121 – Human resources professionals.

NOC 1122 – Professional occupations in business management consulting.

NOC 3012 – Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses.

NOC 4163 – Business development officers and marketing researchers and consultants.

The targeted occupations in this draw are identical to OINP’s previous HCP draws on March 2 and February 2, 2021.

Candidates need to have at least one year of work experience in one the occupations in order to receive a provincial nomination.

Express Entry candidates who receive a nomination from a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), automatically get 600 CRS points added to their overall score. This effectively guarantees them an Invitation to Apply (ITA) to permanent residence in a subsequent draw.

Express Entry is an application management system for three Federal High Skilled immigration programs: Federal Skilled Workers Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Candidates may be eligible for one or more of these programs.

Once a candidate enters the Express Entry pool, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) awards points to candidates based on various human capital factors. Some of the factors in which candidates are ranked on are age, education, work experience, language ability, and more. The highest scoring candidates are then invited to apply in an Express Entry draw.
