Manitoba PNP issues 375 LAAs to immigration candidates in new draw
A new draw through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) issued 375 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) on July 29.
The MPNP invited candidates through three (3) streams: Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas, and International Education Stream. See below for a breakdown of the LAAs issued and the corresponding Expression of Interest (EOI) score requirements.
Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 285 LAAs issued, minimum EOI score of 400.
Skilled Workers Overseas: 47 LAAs issued, minimum EOI score of 708.
International Education Stream: 43 LAAs issued, no minimum EOI score.
Of the 375 invitations, a total of 42 were given to Express Entry candidates.
Invited candidates can now apply for a provincial nomination through the MPNP. If they successfully receive the nomination, it will support their final application for permanent residence.
The Skilled Workers Overseas candidates were invited through a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
Those interested in immigrating to Manitoba need to register an Expression of Interest with the MPNP. This allows candidates to receive an LAA through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams.
The province will then rank candidates out of 1,000 points based on various human capital factors and their connections to Manitoba.
The two (2) skilled worker streams allow Manitoba to identify candidates who meet their labour market needs. Overseas candidates must show connections to the province through family ties, previous experience in Manitoba, or an invitation through one of Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives. Skilled Workers in Manitoba must have a full-time job offer from a provincial employer.
International graduates who complete post-secondary education in Manitoba may receive an invitation under the International Education Stream as long as they can show they have in-demand skills.
