British Columbia holds two draws inviting a total of 374 immigration candidates
British Columbia (B.C.) held two Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws inviting a total of 374 immigration candidates on August 3.
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (B.C. PNP) issued invitations through the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry B.C. (EEBC) streams in both draws.
The first draw issued 361 invitations to candidates from the Skilled Worker, International Graduate, and Entry-Level and Semi-Skilled sub-categories of the SI and EEBC. See below for a breakdown of the minimum provincial score requirements.
SI: Skilled Worker – minimum provincial score of 91.
SI: International Graduate – minimum provincial score of 79.
SI: Entry Level and Semi-Skilled – minimum provincial score of 74.
EEBC: Skilled Worker – minimum provincial score of 89.
EEBC: International Graduate – minimum provincial score of 77.
The second draw issued 13 invitations to candidates whose occupation falls under NOC 0621 or 0631. All invited candidates needed a minimum provincial score of 107, regardless of the sub-category they were from. Candidates in this draw were from the Skilled Worker and International Graduate sub-categories of the SI and EEBC.
So far in 2021, B.C. has issued a total of 7,041 invitations through various PNP streams.
Those who received invitations in this draw now have thirty (30) days to submit a complete application through the B.C. PNP online system.
There is a high number of people registered in the B.C. PNP’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) in NOCs 0621 and 0631. To combat the high demand, B.C. has held additional draws to help balance the needs of the labour market in the province.
Since February 2021, the B.C. PNP has been conducting two separate rounds of invitations twice a month. There is always a general draw and a second draw targeting retail and wholesale trade managers and restaurant and food service managers.
