British Columbia PNP invites 435 immigration candidates in four draws
British Columbia (B.C.) invited over 435 Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates through four draws held on August 17.
The first draw was a general draw which invited candidates from the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry B.C. (EEBC) streams. The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (B.C. PNP) invited candidates from the Skilled Worker, International Graduate, and Entry Level and Semi-Skilled sub-categories of the SI and EEBC.
In this draw, the B.C. PNP invited a total of 363 candidates with a range of minimum score requirements. See below for a breakdown of the scores.
SI – Skilled Worker: minimum provincial score requirement of 91.
SI – International Graduate: minimum provincial score requirement of 78.
SI – Entry Level and Semi-Skilled: minimum provincial score requirement of 73.
EEBC – Skilled Worker: minimum provincial score requirement of 88.
EEBC – International Graduate: minimum provincial score requirement of 76.
The second draw targeted candidates from the SI and EEBC with work experience under occupations from National Occupational Code (NOC) 0621 and 0631. The B.C. PNP issued 64 invitations to candidates from the Skilled Worker and International Graduate sub-categories with minimum scores of 106.
A third draw was held through the B.C. PNP Entrepreneur Immigration Base Category. In this draw, B.C. invited 8 immigration candidates with minimum scores of 126.
The fourth and final draw invited less than 5 candidates from the Entrepreneur Immigration Regional Pilot with minimum scores of 129.
So far in 2021, B.C. has invited over 7,527 immigration candidates through various PNP streams.
Those who are interested in benefiting from a nomination from the B.C. PNP, must create an online profile in the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). Candidates will then be given a score based on various factors; the highest-scored candidates are then invited to apply for a provincial nomination in a future B.C. PNP draw.
